With its old original surface, thick hand hewn bent wood handle and fabulous form, this is an outstanding large early basket.

The opening is approximately 12 inches x 14 inches however because of its bulbous form, the size is actually 18 inches wide.

Even though good honest early baskets were utilitarian, this piece is in very good condition.

It is fresh to the market, originally out of Berks County Pennsylvania. It has been part of my private collection for quite some time, and if I do say so, hard to part with.
