~~Early Primitive New England Pantry Box - Finger Lap Lid & Thick Walls - Traces Of Original Blue!~~
It has traces of original robins egg blue paint, a single fingered lid, irregular nails and extremely thick walls.
It measures 4 1/2 inches tall and is 10 inches across the lid. Not an easy size to find.
Likely one of the earliest pantry storage boxes on the open market, it is in good primitive condition.
Circa: early 1800's. It Is out of a Pennsylvania collection, however it is most assuredly a New England box.
